So, you want to create a bow tie that requires no sewing and is super simple. Well you have reached the right place. This is a quick and easy way to make your little man the star of the show. You can literally make this bow tie in less than an hour with just some Velcro, a piece of cloth or ribbon and a glue gun. The first step is to start making the bow. Now, you can either choose a piece of cloth for the bow, or a wide ribbon. The hardest part of this process...deciding what fabric you want to use. Seriously!
To begin, cut the cloth double the length of the bow. If you are using cloth that has a jagged edge you can use an iron and press the edges over like a hem or use no-sew glue to keep them from fraying.
Once the cloth or ribbon has been cut, fold it over and glue the two ends together.
Now, pinch the middle of the cloth or ribbon together and glue this. You have to hold it together for a few seconds to make sure that it has time to stick.
Next, take a small rectangle piece of cloth or ribbon and wrap it around the bow in the middle and glue. You have now created the bow.
After the bow is complete, you will need to measure how long to cut the band for the neck of the bow tie. You can do this by easily wrapping the cloth or ribbon around the neckline of the shirt of your little one. If you choose to measure his neck instead, just make sure to add at least an extra inch for the material of the shirt itself.
Once you have cut the band for the bow tie you will need to glue one end to the back of the bow. On this piece you will also want to attach a small piece of Velcro using hot glue.
Now for the other end, make sure to cut it at a point because you do not want it to show behind the bow.
Flip the band over and apply the other piece of Velcro to the point with the hot glue.
Finally, place the bow tie on your little man and prepare for your photo shoot! So adorableJ Hope you enjoy!
